At the Viper Custom shop, we work directly with our clients to design completely unique guitars with endless customization ideas and then bring them to life through the fabrication, assembly, and testing process. The options are nearly infinite and we like to test the waters with unique designs that have not been done before. We listen to what the client wants and build to their exact specifications. We can offer advice and provide input into the design process as much as the client wants. In the end, it's not about what we want to build...It's about what you want to play.
We begin the fabrication process only after design and drawings are approved and all components and specifications are selected. The fabrication process is also documented through photos with periodic updates to the client on the progress.
Although it depends on the complexity of the design, usually the custom build can be completed 12-14 weeks after design is finalized and down payment is made.

Step 1
Start off by notifying us through our contact page of your interest in a custom build. We will then setup a phone consultation or by special request, a sit down session at the Viper studio. This is where the general concept of the custom build is discussed. As much information from the client including desired components, dimensions, specifications, etc. are helpful along with drawings, photos, or examples.

Step 2
A full scale drawing will be created along with a detailed specification list. An estimate of the price will be made as well. The design and specs will be reviewed with client, and adjustments made until everyone is satisfied with the design.
3
Step 3
Fabrication will begin after receipt of 50% down payment. The build process will be documented and shared periodically. Any changes requested by the client during the fabrication process will be reviewed for additional costs or time needed. Refer to the Custom Shop Order Policy and the Order Changes and Cancellation Policy for additional information.

There may be no better way to communicate what we do than through images. In order to generate ideas, take a few moments to browse photos of some of our previous builds, and get a feel for our creativity. As you can see, the design options are endless.
